Former Berkeley Preparatory School standout Andrew Jergins contributed on the mound as his current college team, the Georgetown Hoyas, secured a 5-4 victory over the Penn State Nittany Lions in their NCAA Division I baseball contest at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 11.

The game was played at Capital One Park and marked the second meeting between the teams this season. In their earlier matchup on Tuesday, March 10, the Hoyas defeated the Nittany Lions 8-2.

Jergins pitched 1.1 innings and tallied one strikeout.

Up next, the Hoyas are scheduled to face William & Mary Tribe at Capital One Park on Friday, March 13, at 3 p.m.
