Former Wharton High School standout Luke Sauer contributed to Greensboro Pride’s 21-14 victory over the NC Wesleyan Battling Bishops in an NCAA Division III baseball contest played Friday, March 13, at 4 p.m.

Ted Leonard Park was the site of the matchup, which marked the teams’ first meeting this season.

Sauer pitched 0.2 innings, giving up one earned run, and tallied one strikeout and one walk.

Greensboro Pride is set to face the Battling Bishops again on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. at Ted Leonard Park.
