The University of South Florida men’s golf team will travel to Naples to take part in the 2026 Calusa Cup Invitational, according to an April 4 announcement. The event is hosted by the University of Iowa at Calusa Pines Golf Course.
The tournament begins with round one teeing off at 10:30 a.m., with teams fielding five players each. South Florida’s lineup for the event includes Wilhelm Ryding, Jackson Spybey, Hugo Trommetter, Nino Palmquist, and Joshua Stewart.
The Bulls will face competition from several universities including the University of Florida, Miami University, Purdue University, University of Louisville, University of Virginia, Eastern Michigan University, and host school Iowa.
In their previous outing at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic held March 31 through April 1, South Florida finished tied for seventh place. Live scoring for the upcoming Calusa Cup will be available throughout the event on Clippd.
The USF men’s golf program has achieved significant success over its history. The team has captured 19 conference titles and produced players who have earned All-America honors on 19 occasions. Since Steve Bradley took over as head coach in 2014—earning American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year five times—the Bulls have won six American Athletic Conference Tournament championships and posted nine consecutive NCAA Regional appearances from 2013-2022. Under Bradley’s leadership they have claimed a total of 25 tournament wins including three during the current season.
