City of Plant City Government issued the following announcement on July 30.
Hillsborough County, FL Government will give away free mosquito fish to residents on Saturday, August 7.
Mosquito fish are a natural way to control the mosquito population around ponds, lakes, and other intentional standing water. Mosquito fish are small, native freshwater fish that eat mosquito larvae. They require no feeding, and care is limited to protecting them from garden sprays, chlorine, or other chemicals used for cleaning.
