On Saturday, members of the HCSO Bicycle Response Team along with PCPD's Sgt. Tester participated in the Mother's Against Drunk Driving (MADD) "Ride Like MADD" event. The Officers had an initial goal of riding 52 miles in one day to represent the fact that somewhere in the United States a person is killed by an impaired driver every 52 minutes. The Officers exceeded that goal and rode 70 miles throughout the Tampa Bay area in just one day to raise awareness of this cause! Appreciation also goes out to the Tampa Bay Mission BBQ stores for kindly providing a delicious lunch and dinner for these Officers.
