Pricing for the median home in Tampa increased during the first half of 2022

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Tampa rose by $44,934 while total sales decreased by 4.8 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 3,990 homes sold, with a median sale price of $350,000 - a 14.7 percent increase over the $305,066 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 4,192 homes sold in Tampa in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Tampa for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,058, approximately 0.6 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
