Synopsis:  The year is 1943; Nazis are aggressively clearing out the Krakow ghettos where Jews are hiding.  Sadie and her family have entered the sewers to avoid capture.  One day, Ella, an upper-class Polish girl, looks down at a sewer grate and sees Sadie peering up.  Both girls are 19, and tentatively start to form a friendship that could have serious consequences.  Together, they are wary and their trust will be tested.

Recommended for adults. Copies of the book, eBook, audiobook, and eAudiobook are available at the library.  Program capacity of 15 seats are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
