This is a hybrid* hearing for Red Light appeals.
The Special Magistrate shall conduct the quasi-judicial enforcement procedures of Ordinance 09-64, Hillsborough County Red Light Camera Enforcement Ordinance, in the same or similar manner as with other ordinance violations and shall also consider appeals of red light camera violations filed pursuant to the Ordinance.
- Any person who decides to appeal the decision of the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate to the Circuit Court with respects to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purposes, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based
- An appeal must be filed within thirty (30) days after the execution of the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate’s Order

What is a quasi-judicial hybrid hearing?
A quasi-judical hybrid hearing is hearing style meeting where a quorum of the board members or the hearing officers meet in-person at a physical location, and those with a direct interest in the hearing can attend either in-person or virtually. The rest of the board, staff and general public participate virtually. If you are being sworn in and want to appear virtually, you must have a working computer or phone with a camera to participate.
