Gabriella Peralta | NAIA Defensive Player of the Week
Freshman Gabriella Peralta was named NAIA Defensive Player of the Week after two shutouts against Freed-Hardeman and Edward Waters University.
She combined to make 11 saves, with six saves at Freed-Hardeman and five saves in a home victory against Edward Waters.
She was chosen over 16 other nominees for NAIA Player of the Week and was also the CAC's Defensive Player of the Week. She is the second Falcon to receive this honor in school history, alongside teammate Victoria Fonseca.
"I'm very thankful to not only be named NAIA Defensive Player of the Week, but CAC Player of the Week as well. I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunity I have been given to play at Florida College with my amazing teammates. They are the reason I'm able to have the games I do. When I play, I play for them," said Peralta.
"I'm very happy for Gabi. This is a well-deserved honor after a tough week with a clean sheet in two challenging games," added head coach Joanie Dilbeck.
