As part of the holiday season, many people will be shopping for gifts.
Please stay safe by following these tips:
◾ Shop with a credit card whenever possible. They have better fraud and return protections than debit cards or cash
◾ Never buy more than what you can safely carry to your car. If you are struggling in a parking lot, you are a prime target for theft
◾ While shopping in busy stores, make sure your valuables (wallet, phone, etc.) are securely in your purse or pockets
◾ Never leave shopping bags/purchases visible inside of your car. Always put your purchases in your trunk and take them out when you get home
◾ Park in well-lit areas and always lock your vehicle. Shop with a friend or family member if you can
