Guest speakers, music, and refreshments come together on March 25 to honor the courage and sacrifice of Vietnam Veterans.
March 29, 1973, was a special day for many American families. It was on this date that the last U.S. troops stationed in Vietnam returned home after a grueling campaign in Southeast Asia. This homecoming is recognized every year on this date, now known as National Vietnam War Veterans Day, to honor the valor and sacrifice of military families and Veterans of the Vietnam era.
To honor hometown Veterans, the Vietnam Veterans of America/Chapter 787, the Veterans Council of Hillsborough County, and Hillsborough County Consumer & Veterans Services invite the community to the annual Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans & War Dogs remembrance event taking place in advance of National Vietnam War Veterans Day on Saturday, March 25. The event begins at 10 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park and Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins Jr. Veterans Museum, 3602 U.S. 301 N., Tampa, FL 33619.
