Out of over 11,260 doctors practicing in the Tampa Bay area, Tampa Magazine recently named their top doctors of 2023, as nominated by their peers. One of these top doctors, Dr. Mariah Pate of Tampa Bay Breathe Free, said the objective of her practice is to treat patients with respect and compassion.
"Treating patients with respect and compassion is a hallmark of my practice," Dr. Pate told West Hillsborough News. "Every patient deserves to be heard, have a thorough visit, and have an appropriate amount of time with their care provider. Practicing medicine is a privilege and I am humbled to do so."
Dr. Mariah Pate practices at Tampa Bay Breathe Free Sinus and Allergy Centers. According to the company's website, she is a board-certified otolaryngologist (ENT), meaning she specializes in ear, nose, and throat treatment. Pate attained a Magna Cum Laude bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and received her Medical Degree at Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. She subsequently completed an otolaryngology internship at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and then proceeded to serve as Chief Resident.
According to Tampa Magazine's website, Pate has specialized training in ear, nose, and throat issues, with a particular focus on sinus treatment. She has advanced imaging equipment in her office for quick and accurate diagnostics. Additionally, she offers minimally invasive procedures, done in the office with local anesthesia, to help with breathing and sinus problems. This means patients can get back to their normal routine faster, with less discomfort and more relief.
Tampa Bay Breathe Free also offers balloon sinus dilation, a minimally invasive procedure to treat sinusitis. The procedure is done in-office and requires minimal downtime for recovery.
Tampa Bay Breathe Free has a sinus self-assessment quiz that you can take if you feel like you might be struggling with sinusitis.
