The South Florida men’s golf team finished tied for seventh place at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, according to an April 1 announcement. The team outperformed No. 42 San Diego during the tournament.
This result highlights a strong showing by South Florida, which completed the event with an overall score of 11-under-par and a total of 853. Team members Jackson Spybey and Wilhelm Ryding each posted scores of three-under-par, tying for 20th place individually. Spybey’s best performance came in the third round with a two-under score, while Ryding recorded his lowest round in the second round at three-under.
Nino Palmquist tied for 29th after finishing two-under-par, including a three-under-par second round with a score of 69. Joshua Stewart and Gunnar Green both tied for 46th at one-over-par; Stewart also carded a strong second-round score of three-under-par (69).
The Bulls are scheduled to continue their season at the Calusa Cup hosted by Iowa in Naples, Florida from April 5 to April 7.
South Florida men’s golf has won six American Athletic Conference Tournament championships and made nine consecutive NCAA Regional appearances from 2013 through 2022. Steve Bradley has led USF as head coach since taking over in 2014 and has been named American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year five times. Under Bradley’s leadership, USF has secured twenty-five tournament wins, including three victories during the current season.
