Wharton alum Luke Sauer competes in NCAA Division III baseball on March 11

On Wednesday, March 11, at 3 p.m., Luke Sauer, a former Wharton High School standout, contributed to a 9-6 Greensboro Pride win over the Muskingum Fighting Muskies in NCAA Division III baseball.

Ted Leonard Park hosted the contest, serving as the teams’ first meeting this season.

Sauer pitched five innings, allowing four earned runs with one walk and two strikeouts.

The Pride’s next game is Friday, March 13, at 4 p.m. at Ted Leonard Park against the NC Wesleyan Battling Bishops.
