Wilhelm Ryding was named the American Conference Men’s Golf Player of the Week for the third time this season, according to an April 9 announcement from the conference.
Ryding finished second out of 40 golfers at the Calusa Cup, hosted by Iowa at Calusa Pines Golf Course. He shot an 8-under-par total of 208 and led South Florida to a fourth-place finish among eight teams. The junior matched his best finish of the season and posted scores in the 60s during the first two rounds. He also finished ahead of five top-50 ranked golfers in the nation.
The recognition highlights Ryding’s continued strong performance throughout this season and his ability to compete against some of college golf’s top players.
South Florida will compete next at its final regular season tournament, participating in the Wofford Invitational in Spartanburg, South Carolina, scheduled for April 12-14.
