Plant City Police Department issued the following announcement on July 22.
On Tuesday, the PCPD challenged over 65 Summer Youth Program participants and staff in the 1st Annual “Kids vs. Cops” Dodgeball Tournament at the Sadye Gibbs Martin Community Center.
Each youth team showed their strength and effort while competing against the PCPD team consisting of Chief Bradford, Captain Van Duyne, Officer Russell, Officer Snyder, Detective Dunnam, Officer Wiggins, and Officer Castro.
We had an AMAZING cheering section that consisted of our youth campers, coaches, Plant City Parks & Recreation staff, PCPD staff, camper parents, and City officials. The PCPD rewarded each dodgeball player with an ice-cold SnoBall treat from Pelican's SnoBalls Plant City! Thank you to everyone who made this event a huge success.
