This is a quasi-judicial hybrid* hearing for the Code Enforcement Special Magistrates (CESM) for False Alarm, Water, Fire and Land.
The Code Enforcement Board (CEB) and the Code Enforcement Special Magistrates (CESM) are quasi-judicial bodies comprised of citizens of unincorporated Hillsborough County, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to serve three year terms, and serve as volunteers with no compensation.
The Code Enforcement Board and Special Magistrates have the same powers and duties and are empowered by Florida Statutes 162 and Hillsborough County Code of Ordinances and Laws, Chapter 14, Article II, Section 14.

What is a quasi-judicial hybrid meeting?
A quasi-judical hybrid meeting is hearing style meeting where a quorum of the board members or the hearing officers meet in-person at a physical location, and those with a direct interest in the hearing can attend either in-person or virtually. T
The rest of the board, staff and general public participate virtually. If you are being sworn in and want to appear virtually, you must have a working computer or phone with a camera to participate.
