Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is on the scene of a large structure fire at 6507 Bob Head Road, a fish farm. HCFR’s dispatch received the 911 call from an individual near this location at 2:09 AM Tuesday.
The caller reported heavy flames and smoke coming from one of the buildings at the fish farm. #YourHCFR ‘s Engine 26 was the first on the scene, confirming heavy fire and smoke through the roof of the entirety of the large building. Crews quickly deployed handlines and an aerial master stream to keep the blaze in check. Water was supplied through shuttle operations using water tankers. Eighteen HCFR units have been working at the scene for over six hours. There were no occupants inside the building at the time of the fire, and HCFR’s Fire Investigations Unit is on the scene investigating the cause. One firefighter was transported from the scene with a minor injury.
