The HCC Office of Sustainability still has availability for two of their upcoming April events!
April 3 at 11 a.m. - Wastewater Treatment Plant Tour
We're touring a local wastewater treatment plant to learn firsthand how our water is treated. The opportunity to get up close and personal to learn about how millions of gallons of water are treated daily is an event that you don't want to miss!
April 20 at 10 a.m. - HCC Rooftop Beehive Tour
HCC established a rooftop apiary in Fall 2019 with five small "nucleus" hives. The bees are managed by Paul Rabaut and several sustainability interns to engage people around the concept of sustainability. This tour will highlight the Ybor sustainability efforts by looking at some bee-friendly plants, exploring the beehives, tasting some fresh honey and enjoying the views. Don't worry though! We have the equipment to keep you sting free.
